Day 9: Ascend

Go higher and find glory. You might’ve heard this joke before but there’s actually something to learn from this. Think about it, you dream big dreams, huge even; you seek for not only the better but the best; you cross your heart and hope for the best, not the worst. You don’t want to settle for what’s given, for what’s already there. You settle for the greatest. You did not take the ladder out only to go down from it. You took it out to climb higher. In your entire existence, you lead yourself to go up, to ascend and to soar. In soaring you hope to find freedom and serenity and bliss and yes, glory. In soaring, you long to fly. That’s all there is, isn’t there? At the end of it all, through fire and rain and everything in between, happiness is the only thing that we seek. So yes, you should go higher and find your own glory. Ascend to your awesomeness. Just don’t forget the risk of falling. And when you fall, don’t forget to take it in the most gracious manner. Don’t forget that in falling there is peace. Don’t ever forget that once you’re down, there is no other way to go but UP again. Another chance to ascend right there.
